Community engagement

Our work always comes from a place of collaboration and shared knowledge to ensure that we integrate with the individuals and environments we connect with.

At Covalent , social and environmental consciousness goes hand in hand with our unwavering commitment to community engagement. We believe that building strong, lasting relationships with the communities we operate in is integral to creating a positive and successful impact. Through open dialogue and collaborative initiatives we strive to foster strong connections with each local community, ensuring a sustainable and inclusive future for all. Our dedication to community engagement drives our mission to make meaningful and positive change, while safeguarding the environment for generations to come.

Proactive Engagement

Incorporating carbon farming alongside established food and fibre farming practices is at the core of our mission. We understand the historical context of properties we work on and their integration within the local community. This understanding enables us to determine the optimal integrated carbon and agricultural use of the land to deliver long term benefits. If you are interested in any of our projects in your local community, we encourage you to reach out and connect with us.

Our success relies on the network of skilled and certified contractors we engage within the local communities where our projects are located. Together we work hand in hand with contractors offering expertise in natural resource and land management services, track development and maintenance, soil preparation and grading, fencing, pest and weed management, native seed collection and nursery propagation, as well as large-scale planting activities. If you are interested in contributing to our projects, we welcome you to get in touch.

Our team continually evaluates both on- and off-market opportunities, assessing their combined carbon and agricultural potential. Through our comprehensive feasibility and due diligence process, we empower clients to make informed decisions regarding the acquisition and stewardship of rural properties. If you’re interested in exploring the potential for integrated carbon and agriculture opportunities in your area, we encourage you to reach out to us.

At Covalent Land Australia, we recognise the profound cultural insights that First Nations hold in land management, enhancing our stewardship of country. We are dedicated to collaborating with First Nations groups and securing free, prior, and informed consent from Indigenous communities for our carbon projects. To ensure compliance with industry standards, we adhere to the ‘best practice guide for carbon project developers’ issued by the Indigenous Carbon Industry Network in February 2020. If you represent a First Nations group or seek further information, we invite you to contact us
